- Using sail alone, providing conditions were favourable (I’m only after a rough estimate, eg, three days, a fortnight, a month etc etc). Depart Bristol arrive New York (just for reference).
I’m illustrating a short story for someone and they want to know how long (roughly) such a journey should take for the sake of realim, west England to East Coast US (or vice-versa), most direct route.

- I recently met a friend who shares some sailing fantasies. He is saying you can just buy a 28′ sail boat and sail across the pacific. Is this true, i would have though you’d need a bigger boat. How small of a boat is possible and how long would it take if rushed?

- I recently inherited this boat — 1937, 35 feet, with sails and a restored motor. Unfortunately, the motor is the only restored item. The rest of the boat is need of structural work in order to make her sea-worthy once again. She was once (and can become again) a beautiful vessel. I am not knowledgable about sail boats, so I would like the future owner to be someone who will give her the care and attention she needs. I am sure that she will be an ideal investment for someone, who is willing to do (or fund) the repair work. Once the work has been completed, she will surely be worth a considerable amount of money, given her age. I sell lots of items on ebay, but somehow think that is not the best venue for this kind of transaction.

- Are people more afraid and purchase more insurance or less? Does it make them delay purchasing insurance? Life and Health insurance specifically. More specifically senior medical supplement policies, advantage plans, life insurance, long term care insurance, and annuities. I'm asking for myself. - My daughter can earn some brownie patches over the summer. One is planting some seeds in a pot and starting them and then planting it outside when it gets big enough. It is fairly late in the growing season. What can I grow that we can plant and it will survive this late. We live in Indiana. Any ideas? She really wanted to do a flower, but I cannot think of any that we can plant late and them not die after the summer is over.
Another one we are doing is planting herbs and making an indoor herb garden. I know the basil will not grow indoors for long, but it is not a perennial. Is that right?
Any ideas would be very much appreciated.

- My husband and I are planning a late honeymoon in either september or october to an all inclusive resort somewhere and we would like to go to the caribbean, but any place with really nice beaches would do. Just NO RAIN!! Where is a good place to go for weather in September/October? Any resorts that you would recommend? Thank you so much for your answers, I haven’t been on a real vacation before!

- A bunch of people from my church got to talking and thought it’d be great to be able to stock up on blankets and winter clothes in the spring and summer to help distribute to people in need during the winter, and got to wondering where to find off-season sales, since major retailers would be unlikely to carry winter clothing and not necessarily stocking heavy blankets during the summer, and we figure we could get really good prices on them in the spring and summer. We’re especially wanting to find blankets. Any suggestions on places to look, online or elsewhere?
