- If I was to dig up some grass from one place in our yard and transplant it somewhere else, what would you guess the outcome would be? I am going to dig up an area for a garden. There is a sloped area that used to get washed out, so there’s no grass there. I fixed the “washing out” issue. Is is possible to move the grass there or is it just a waste of time? Any special measures I should take?

- No experience with gardening!! I just bought a house with a small (4′ x 3′) garden in the backyard. Right now the garden is empty but I hope to get some flowers & bushes in soon. Do I need to separate the garden from the surrounding grass with some sort of barrier so they don’t grow into each other? Or will the roots of the plants keep each other from overgrowing? Secondly, I am looking for a hardy ground-covering type plant that grows with minimal care and perhaps has some nice flowers. Any suggestions?

- Alright, so i just got some peas and pumkins to plant in my garden. However, this garden hasnt been used in a while, lets say about 2 years. It had once very rich soil, but now, grass, and weeds have taken over! How can i get my garden ready again? If you do not know very well how to do it, some instructional videos or just plain old links on how to do it would also be very appreaciated. Best answer for the most infromation.!!! Ty!

- I own a John Deere Z225 mower with a mulching kit and mulching blades. I mow 6 to 8 lawns a week and lately I’ve had a lot of problems with the cutting quality. I’ve had to mow over the grass twice because it’s so long and afterwards there are still clumps. Is it better to take off the mulching deck and blow the grass out the side chute of the mower or will this make an even bigger mess? I’m tired of going over the grass twice. Also, if I were to take off the mulching kit, would I put the regular blades on?

- My backyard is all dirt right now and when it rains the dirt turns to mud and make my pavement walkway filthy! I’d like to put grass in but am not sure what level the soil needs to be.
If it’s perfectly level with the pavement will I have mud problems when it rains? Should the soil be slightly lower?
Also, is it necessary or recommended to install a curbing or edging between the grass and pavement?

- The 120 seats on an Alaska Airlines flight were completely booked, with each of the 120 passengers having different assigned seats. The passengers entered the plane one-by-one. Unfortunately, the first passenger, Joe Isclumsy, couldn't read his boarding pass because he spilled coffee on it and sat in a (uniformly) random seat. Each subsequent passenger sat in their assigned seat if it was available when they entered and sat in a (uniformly) random empty seat otherwise. What is the probability that the last passenger sat in their assigned seat?

- Not buying GM because the government is so-called running it is pretty funny.
GM used to run the government and tell them what to do. They basically operated like the government.
It's funny how the proles like to assume corporations are competing with each other everyday, like they're on a battlefield. These companies only succeed because the government looks the other way. If Wal-Mart, Microsoft, GM and other companies were regulated by the government properly, most of this nonsense wouldn't be happening today.
The truth is, the management at many of these companies work less than the government workers you rag on everyday. If you people ever had jobs, you would realize this.

- Hello world!
- My husband and I are planning a late honeymoon in either september or october to an all inclusive resort somewhere and we would like to go to the caribbean, but any place with really nice beaches would do. Just NO RAIN!! Where is a good place to go for weather in September/October? Any resorts that you would recommend? Thank you so much for your answers, I haven’t been on a real vacation before!

- My parents are in Florida 6 months a year. The thing is, my daughter always says she misses her grandma and grandpa, and doesn’t understand why they don’t miss her as well.
Plus, they always miss my daughters birthday every year because they are gone to Florida.
Its not like I can say ” its because they would rather be in Florida than be with you” . That would hurt my daughters feelings.
What would you say if she were your daughter ?

- A bunch of people from my church got to talking and thought it’d be great to be able to stock up on blankets and winter clothes in the spring and summer to help distribute to people in need during the winter, and got to wondering where to find off-season sales, since major retailers would be unlikely to carry winter clothing and not necessarily stocking heavy blankets during the summer, and we figure we could get really good prices on them in the spring and summer. We’re especially wanting to find blankets. Any suggestions on places to look, online or elsewhere?
